October 14-17, 2008 Hosted by John and Deborah Krohn

This was truly  a great mini. Not only did we have a wonderful time we had two major accomplishments. First we had two 1st time mini attendees show up --  Jim McCleave with his wife Eddie and Don Dickson.  How gratifying to see them. They had a wonderful time and we expect to see them more frequently.  Secondly,  at the conclusion of the mini, we were invited to attend John Krohn's wedding to a lovely lady Deborah. We welcome Deborah into our class.  As if it were not enough effort John was our tour guide through the battlefields.

It was a great time to visit Gettysburg, not too hot or too cold. In fact we played golf before the start and after the tours.  The food was terrific , the company great and of coarse the battlefield tours very educational.  John has certainly found his calling. He is tour guide extraordinaire. We marveled at his complete grasp of this enormous battle which really was the turning point of the Civil War. Further his rather dry sense of humor really made it come alive for us. Well done John.

Our introduction to Gettysburg. This was a very emotional experience when we all considered the enormity of events which occurred here. John giving us all the details. We just wandered about from monument to monument and John filled explained what had happened here, why it happened and why it was important.
